Our Rating System:

Clarence’s Rating System

5 stars (*****) means that I absolutely love this album. This album comes as close to perfection as one can get. Every song here is wonderful and I have no qualms whatsoever with any of them. The artistry really shines through every song.

4.5 stars (****1/2) means that I really really love this album, probably to the same degree as a 5-star album. However, the difference is that I’m probably not as impressed with the craft or one song didn’t truly capture my attention like the other songs. Still, it’s a great album.

4 stars (****) means I really like this album but it’s not always consistent or groundbreaking. I probably love a lot of the songs but then there’s that one song that ruins the album.

3.5 stars (***1/2) means it’s better than average and I like this album. The artistic quality is a little less pronounced or I wasn’t particularly blown away by any song.

3 stars (***) means it’s average. Nothing about this album is groundbreaking or innovative but there’s always a song that mightily impresses me to a certain degree. Might lack polish and artistry but is still definitely listenable.

2.5 stars (**1/2) means it has its moments of pleasure but more often than not is dull or unimpressive. There is almost no attempt at showing the artistry of the singers.

2 stars (**) mean I really don’t care about the album. It’s forgettable even if it has some nice songs. There is no single song that impresses me but there’s still some songs that are listenable if not great.

1.5 – 1 star (*1/2 – *) This is the lowest of the lows. The album is memorably awful and the songs are just ghastly, annoying, overbearing, and terribly upsetting. No display of talent either.

Nice to meet you guys! 🙂
I watched my first Kdrama in June of this year, and have watched +10 full shows since then (yah, I know, it’s becoming difficult to manage :P). So glad I found your blog since I find myself wondering certain things after particular episodes and desperately wanting to talk to someone about the characters in these shows.
So far my fave dramas have been 49 Days, City Hunter, Boys Over Flowers, Coffee House, and Secret Garden!

Hi Sakina! Thanks for commenting and it’s nice to meet you too 🙂
Woah, I think together, Clarence and I have watched about 10 dramas this summer!
Keep up the good work haha =p
And I’m with you on the favorite drama list, except for 49 Days because it made me cry so much at the end =-(
