Top Ten Tuesdays: Ten Big Bang Solo Material

Hee!!!! Obviously I’m squealing with delight over the new Big Bang album even if it’s considerably uneven compared to past work (more on that in the actual review) because Big Bang is my favorite group. Since Temi has already compiled a list of the Top 10 Big Bang songs in honor of their European Award back in the fall, I offer my ten favorite Big Bang solo material. While Big Bang is definitely a great five-member group, they also shine individually, meaning there is more for us fans to love. After that, I’ll give you my 10 favorite Big Bang songs.

The List: Clarence’s Top 20 Songs of 2011

Finally! Here’s the final list of songs for my top twenty. Each of this song, I can only offer nice words because they made my year of listening to music so darn good. I cherish each one of these songs for their virtues, the talents involved, and lastly their impact on me as a listener.  Last year, my favorite song was Super Junior’s addicting “Bonamana”. This year is a different story.

What if Korea Had VMA Awards?

Two nights ago, the Video Music Awards were held in Los Angeles with lots of music guests and tons of performances including tributes to Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears. I love award shows and we’ll be covering some of my favorites later in the year (Next up will be the Emmy Awards! Yay TV shows). Anyway, I’d love to imagine a Korean version of the Video Music Awards considering K-pop has better music videos nowadays. Although the year isn’t over, I’d like to make a list of the videos that were released between January and August.

2011 Comebacks I’m Dying to See

Since summer is almost done, I’m anticipating some major comebacks from Kpop stars that haven’t been back on the scene in a while. Earlier this year, we’ve been treated to comebacks from BIG BANG, DBSK, Super Junior, 2NE1, B2ST, FT Island, Miss A, CN Blue, Brian Joo and Hwanhee, Wheesung, 2PM, Jay Park, etc.

Although K-pop time seems to be warped (everything is faster, be gone for a year and it’s automatically a comeback) and promotions last about two months, the comebacks that I have here are merely rumors with some aspect of truth in them. Hopefully, these rumors are true.

Of course, there are more comebacks I’m anticipating by the end of the year, here are a list of some that I can’t wait to hear! Continue reading
