[Artist Profile] Epitone Project

22 Sep

I don’t know how I did it, but I stumbled upon gold of the KPop variety. In case you didn’t know, I am kind of an Indie music fan. Some of my favorite artists are Jung In, 10cm, Nell, Broccooli, You Too, Taru,  Tearliner, Ra.D, and now, Epitone Project.

After watching the minidrama Girl K/Killer K, I was intrigued by a certain song. If you’ve read any of my music reviews, you’ll probably know that I am a piano-entusiast for lack of a better term. The mystery song began with a gorgeously haunting piano solo so of course, I had to find it.

After much research, I found out the song was Anyong, Anyong by Epitone Project and Lucia(or  Shim Kyu Seon).

Check out the MV below

I am literally obsessed with this song. I listen to it going to class, I listen to it coming back from class, I listen to it while I write blog posts…

From what I can tell, Epitone Project is one guy (a pretty awesome one in fact) who is a composer/producer.

He often collaborates with a singer called Lucia or Shim Kyu Seon. He is under a pretty popular Indie label called Pastel Music (check out out the links at the bottom of the page). He sings in some of his songs, and in others, he has various artists. He released an entire album in collaboration with Lucia with her solely on vocals called “A Room of One’s Own”

Below are some of my favorite songs by Epitone Project

Where Are You ft. Han Hwi Jung

The Person Who Hurts ft. Taru

Please ft. Lucia
